At Home Business Advice - Why Your Upline Is Hurting Your Network Marketing Business

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

How often do you hear home business advice such as keep your eye on the ball and never give up. Sure, it gets boring and mundane after awhile but the truth is, you really should be listening to it if you’re serious about succeeding in your network marketing business.

Many lose their original focus. They start with a plan to reach a goal but as most of us know, there are any number of obstacles along the way to throw them off course.

And did you realize that some of these obstacles which aren’t discussed a lot are the company superstars. What!…you say. It’s true but don’t go blaming these successful guys and gals for your lack of business growth.

Here’s the problem…focusing on your company’s superstars is good to a certain extent but there needs to be a point where you let go and use the information they give to build your own businesses.

The truth is, many don’t and virtually become groupies in a sense to a successful network marketer. We could sit here for hours reeling off a list of stars, heck, in my business alone we have some of the most successful networkers of all time. But do I worship them? No. Do I respect them. Yes.

With all due respect, the Renegade Network Marketer Ann Sieg is often revered more than respected and while the adulation is great, I’m sure Sieg would rather people focus on their own business goals rather than herself.

Legendary network marketer Randy Gage once said…”I will not be anybody’s guru.” He explained in a prosperity series he created that too many networkers focus on the achievements of the individual and get caught up in trance like state rather than using this person’s achievements as a source of inspiration to grow their business.

And this is where you need to draw the line if you fall in this category. The superstars achieved success because of a number of reasons with perseverance high on the list. The reason companies use them is as motivation for their reps. When you listen to these people speak you are looking for the gold nuggets that helped them grow their business. After they’re finished, let them go.

Always remember, the company you’re with is the vehicle you’re using to create the type of financial security you want. When you started your network marketing home business, you started with an end goal. Use the “gurus” for inspiration but don’t worship them.

The reality is, they simply followed the core principles of growing a home business and stuck at it to become successful. Always remember this piece of at home business advice…grow the business for you, not the gurus.

Small Business Training

Many UK residents annually make the decision to launch a small business. People probably either wish to improve their finances or do something they know and make tons of money doing it. It definitely isn’t easy succeeding at a small business venture – so many people try and fail at this every year. Knowing this, people have a hard time without knowing what is necessary to succeed at such ventures. Thus, the best thing for a new businessperson in the UK is to turn to small business training as the answer to improving business skills.

Small Business Training
An induction is the process used by employers to integrate new employees into their enterprises. While induction in some companies is quite informal, in others it involves more formal small business training courses that can take place over several days or sessions.
Since employers are legally required to provide health and safety information to new employees, these topics may occupy a prominent place in induction training. In addition to health and safety information, a good induction program should cover the following topics:

Small businesses have many unique qualities, such as the obvious lack of finances as compared to a major corporation. Of course, many of these companies are short on overhead expenses anyway. All organizations have a few major similarities, nonetheless – such as employee management, taking care of clients, and dealing with technical issues. So they can be relieved that if they need a hand, then small business sales training can help, as well as small business computer training, and small business marketing training. These companies really just desire the ability to communicate well with customers and gain insight on strategies that will take their business from scratch to a roaring success story.

Business Training

A small business or project management course will train fledgling outfits in the UK on how to put together and run plans and goals for specialized client needs. Business training videos are also on hand for these companies. There are also consultants who are trained to help. With the appropriate small business training, you can enjoy the fruits of your efforts.
While start-of-employment induction is the most common type, the most successful employers recognise that ongoing training programs will create an intelligent and agile workforce capable of adapting effectively to changes in the work environment or business climate. One mistake that many companies make is failing to invest sufficient resources like time and money on integrating and nurturing new employees via a small business training program. Remember that induction works both ways: The company is as eager to get to know new employees as they are to get off to a good start in their new positions. Also, research shows that well-designed induction systems can help a company retain employees.

You Can Never Be Sad!

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

There are so many things which can make us feel bad, like the poor weather, the lost earring, the sad news, the favourite shirt becomes dirty, unsavory people, etc. However, don’t lets these factors upset you, you should find ways to have a good mood.

1. Look for good things in any bad situation. There are always good things around us although it is difficult to find them. Remember to think positively. For example, the parking ticket is cheap, you are definitely having a better day than the rude waiter is, your pants will still be shabby no matter how you feel.

2. Be thankful to things around - your health, career, friends, family, etc. They don’t come naturally, so don’t take them for granted. Be thankful.

3. Laugh heartily. There is no need to go to laughing classes in order to do this. Try to laugh loudly when something bad happens. This may sound foolish to you. However, this can really help you laugh out because of its ridiculousness.

4. Be optimistic. Expectations often affect the actual outcomes. If you think something will go well, it will probably be. I always expect I would be able to find a space for parking when I shop for grocery at busy hours, and I almost always do.

5. Collect anything that you think is funny. It can be sayings, clips or quotes. Read them through when you need to be refreshed. They can always make you smile.

6. Do a handstand. Yoga poses like a handstand are good for our organs and can help boost our mood too. If you can’t do a handstand, try using a wall as assistance by leaning your butt and legs against the wall.

7. Give yourself a rest. Many people want to get things done as much as they can and they are usually lack of sleep. If you have this wrong practice that can endanger your health severely, you should stop right now and try to enjoy your life with your family and friends.

Life is definitely not easy and we face different challenges every day. Try to be positive and avoid looking back. Whatever happened is happened. Learn from your mistakes and look forward. You will then find your life much happier and healthier.

How A Home Exchange Works

Monday, September 28th, 2009

Fifty years ago, home swaps started to happen. People would trade their homes for a brief period of time, in order to have a unique vacation that was also a lot cheaper than staying in a hotel. With the internet becoming one of the major ways of communication, more people than ever before are willing to try a home exchange. In addition to the internet factor, the current slump of the real estate market and tourism industry, and the economic recession that we are in have also contributed to people wanting to save money when going on vacation.

A home exchange can be done instead of buying and selling property, and the two parties permanently exchange their homes. However, the most common are temporary, vacation house exchange ventures. Staying somewhere for a couple of weeks in a hotel can be quite expensive, but if you are able to do an exchange, then you get to stay in someone else’s house while they stay in yours, and no one pays any fees.

The easiest way to organize a vacation home exchange is by going online and searching for websites that cater to people interested in this venture. There are a few popular ones out there, notably www.homeexchange.com. These websites allow you to find estate listings in locations that you are interested in visiting and putting your own home up as a potential swap. They also offer a bit more security than trying to do a home swap on your own with people that you don’t know.

Once you’ve found a location and a person that you want to do a vacation home swap with, you enter into an agreement with them regarding when and for how long you wish to vacation. The homes are typically swapped at the same time, so that one party stays in the other person’s home and vice versa, though other arrangements could be made. Issues like use of cars, pet care, cleaning, and other details are also ironed out before the actual swap so that everyone is clear about what will happen.

A home exchange might be the best answer for many people who want to enjoy their vacation time, but don’t have a lot of money to spend. Hotels are one of the most expensive parts of a trip, aside from any air travel, and by home swapping you can eliminate that expense. A significant percentage of travelers are trying out exchanges and most of them are happy with the results, meaning that this way of vacationing should only increase and become more accessible, and agreeable, to the general public.

Scientists Use Contract Inspection

Monday, September 28th, 2009

The field of science goes hand-in-hand with the terms contract inspection and reverse engineering. Considering what we had just a decade ago, the large amount of work that you can achieve in a very small amount of time is incredible.

The process to reverse engineer something means that a scientist (or whoever) would dismantle a product with the intention of understanding how it was built in the first place. For example, one may take a part a computer chip and, using the same ideas from the original, rebuild it with different part than the original had.

For example, when the Americans noticed that the Germans in the Second World War had a better design for their gas tanks they sent out intelligence to gather some samples and then re-engineered the tank to fit their needs and created an even better model. As you can see, this method is often used by today’s military.

After a piece of equipment is finished being engineered, it must be inspected.Although the parts should all be different from the original model, the two products should essentially accomplish the same purpose.

Whereas we once had to rely on human hands and eyes, we can now use a machine to inspect the finished creation for us. A laser rolls over the finished product and transfers the data to a computer. That data is much more sufficient and complete than any human can offer because their senses are simply limited.

After the data is transferred to the computer, scientists can see exactly where there might be a problem or if all the parts of the machine, even the smallest parts in the hardest to see places, were installed correctly. If so, then the product can be sent off to the field for use or to the manufacturing plant for mass production.

Bottom line, the thoroughness of the laser machine is far superior to what any human eye could offer. In a matter of minute, the computer can tell you exactly what and where there is a problem in the manufacturing of the device.

In many cases, ensuring that all the parts of an object were created and secured correctly is a matter of safety. For example, astronauts in the Space Station use this type of inspection as opposed to human inspection because it is important for them to be 100% positive that everything is installed correctly. And there is no better way of making sure of this than using a machine.

Five Facts You Didn’t Know About Debt Collectors’ Rights

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

If you are in debt, you’re probably already aware of the rights you have under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, which is also known as the FDCPA, says that you have the right to expect certain debt collection practices from debt collectors.

The FDCPA tells debt collectors how and when they can contact you, and what they’re allowed to say to you to collect on a debt. An example of this is that bill collectors can’t lie to you in order to collect on a debt, nor can they misrepresent the facts about your debt to collect on it. The FDCPA was created in order to combat the many abuses by bill collectors who did all of these things in order to get money from debtors. What you probably don’t know about the FDCPA, however, is that even bill collectors have rights.

The first is that they have the right to communicate with you to let you know that you owe a debt. They can communicate with you via telephone or by letter. In this phone call or letter, they can tell you exactly how much you owe, including any fees or penalties.

Second, they have the right to contact you until you let them know in writing that you don’t owe them money, that you don’t owe as much as they say, or that you demand that they provide verification that you owe the debt. Of course, under the FDCPA, they’re limited in when and how they can communicate with you, but if they stay within the rules of the FDCPA, they can keep contacting you until you tell them to stop.

Thirdly, if the original creditor and the debt collector are one and the same, or the debt collector is an in-house agency affiliated with the original creditor, they’re allowed to keep contacting you even if you ask them to stop. The reason for this is that the FDCPA doesn’t see creditors as being the same as debt collectors, so they don’t have to operate under the same rules as debt collectors do. Of course, they still have to obey the guidelines of decent behavior as outlined by the FDCPA, including not annoying people that you know, or calling you during all hours of the night.

Fourth, they have the right to contact other people about your debt, but only once, and only to find out your address, your phone number, or where you work. However, they are prohibited from contacting a third party more than once. Any more than that can constitute harassment.

Finally, a debt collector has the right to sue you to collect on a debt that you owe. Of course, you have the right to defend yourself in court, but if a judgment is made against you, your wages may be garnished.

When dealing with debt collectors, make sure that you know your rights under the law. But also make sure that you know the rights that the law gives to debt collectors. This knowledge can help you to better deal with them when and if they become a problem.

How to Keep Your Business Expanding, Fast!

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

The era when companies would strive to make customers buy their products and services is part of history now. In our current situation, the sale is just the beginning of a potential long term relationship with each customer. The transformation from selling being seen as an “end” to a “beginning” has been difficult for organisations around the world - but overall, this way of thinking has resulted in a far better experience for customers everywhere.

Once organisations began to discover new ways to keep their businesses growing, they also realised that follow-up and after sales service can be incredibly influential methods for ensuring customer loyalty. Keeping track of customers and performing simple courtesies, like sending a “thank you” or a “birthday card” have become a common exercise. Such acts immediately strike a chord with customers and initiate a sense of belongingness. Therefore, it’s no wonder that this particular tactic has become so incredibly successful. So, that’s why the actual sale itself is now seen as the beginning of a potential long term relationship. This understanding is crucial in business, because the expense necessary to retain a customer is quite a bit less than the amount which has to be paid out to acquire a new one.

In management training, individuals learn that companies who view selling as a beginning are the ones truly capable of dominating the market, and those which move along previously established paths - will be inevitably weeded out. Beginning with the sale, organisations rain down benefits on their customers. In addition to the obvious advantages which the customers receive, the organisations also receive detailed feedback on the products or services they’re providing. This can be further applied by incorporating this information into future projects. The “after sales service” is much appreciated by customers, as they tend to see this effort as an act of gratitude. Because of this, customers don’t have to do much homework before buying an item, as they know that their grievances will be addressed properly if the product is faulty. Organisations also benefit from not having to spend money on vague advertising activities in order to attract customers, and now, these companies can be far more definitive with their advertising approach.

Technology and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) have crept into this aspect of advertising. With these systems there are various software applications that help with the maintenance of the huge databases which are updated in “real time” with the developments occurring in the purchase patterns of every customer.

Most business coaching experts agree that the crux of the matter is that selling has to be viewed as a “beginning” and never an “end”, and if intelligently applied, this idea will take any company a very long way toward acquiring a larger piece of the market share.

Troubled Teens Who Work Often Find the Right Path

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

There are many businesses that help teens in trouble find the right path for leading a healthy and productive life. Many businesses focus on the ‘tough love’ aspect, using troubled teens to clean hotels, work construction jobs and more.

What’s more, a trouble teen is often met with suspicion and faces a lot of rejection which makes them even less likely to be responsive to others. Being put in a situation where they are accepted and trusted with a job is often very effective in helping them feel better about themselves and giving them a chance to change their attitudes and the way that they view the world.

There are many great programs in Chicago for troubled teens and there are great printing businesses that are pairing up with schools, families and programs to provide a working opportunity for these teens.

It does not matter if the teen is suffering from depression, has an eating disorder or any other numerous problems, getting a job in a printing business in Chicago may be just the thing that prevents the parents from having to put the teen into boot camp, private school or military school. This is a very important element for improving a teens relationship with their parents and making them feel as if they have value.

For many of these young people poverty and lack of skills can often lead to a rather disappointing series of life choices. These poor choices can lead a person down a path of continued poverty and crime. In many cases they face the possibility of spending much of their productive years in jail or worse.

By giving these troubled teens an opportunity to learn a valuable trade like printing and business services, it is hoped that these kids will either find a skill set that will allow them to break the cycle of poverty and mischief but more than that, it is hoped that they will learn a greater lesson. A lesson that can impress upon them that there is more to life than skirting the rules and that hard work in a legitimate field can yield better results than those that lead to crime and incarceration.

There are many Chicago printing companies that offer not only quality printing and business services but in addition, they also offer a helping hand to troubled teens with on the job training and an ability to learn a skill set that can carry them in a much better direction than they are headed in at the present.

In the process it can lead to a wonderful opportunity for them to develop self-esteem, self-confidence and respect for themselves. This positive turn in their lives can make all of the difference for their futures.
